Job Description 

We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic leader to manage the Massage Therapy program. This is a full time, professional position reporting directly to the Dean/Director of Education. As the leader of the program, the Program Director is responsible for managing the department using sound business principles and ensuring compliance with all regulatory, accreditation and company policies and procedures. This position requires some evening and Saturday hours.  

 

The Program Director teaches in his/her assigned discipline, works with faculty to promote continuous improvement of the quality of instruction within the assigned program(s), is the lead administrator for the department, and, as such, is responsible for faculty training and development, coordinating and administering the academic program(s) and student outcomes and activities within the department. 

 

Requirements 

  • Completion of a Massage Therapy program resulting in a Certificate of Completion or a Diploma; an associate degree is preferred but not required
  • Expertise in interpersonal and verbal presentation/written communication skills.   
  • Ability to provide effective direction and leadership and work effectively and collaboratively with others. 
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Massage Therapist
  • Prior postsecondary related teaching experience of at least 2 years. 
  • Must have an active license to practice Massage Therapy in the State of Virginia
