Culinary Assistant - AL

The Fountains at Hosanna is conveniently located in Lakeville adjacent to Hosanna Church. We are less than a mile from Highway I-35 and near County 77. The Fountains offers seniors 92 Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care apartments.  The Fountains and their exceptional staff are known for creating a warm, friendly, fun community. Our Culinary Assistant/Server position is responsible for dining room and to go meal service to senior age residents in our building.

14 hours in two weeks, short 3-4 hour, early evening shifts. Includes every other Saturday/Sunday. Great part time schedule for a student or retiree.

Responsibilities

• Serves meals and ensures that the dining area is clean and inviting:
• Follows meal serving schedule and procedures.
• Offers resident meal choices and meets resident’s specific dietary needs.
• Uses proper safety and sanitation techniques.
• Follows dining room cleaning schedule and procedures.
• Follow proper procedures for dining room set-up.
• Follows proper work flow to stay on task.
• Learns and becomes proficient with EMenu System and restaurant style service.
• Ensures all dishes (including flatware, drinkware, etc.) are washed, sanitized, and put away before end of shift.
• Promotes and encourages positive resident relations and satisfaction:
• Welcomes residents and initiates conversation.
• Accommodates resident requests such as requests for food substitution, change in seating, etc.
• Listens to any complaints and responds appropriately. Refers issues to Executive Director and Culinary Director as appropriate.

Required Qualifications

• less than 1 year experience

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• 1 year experience
