Job Overview:

The Manager of Quality is a key leadership role responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing hospital-wide quality, patient safety, accreditation, and improvement initiatives.

 

General Responsibilities:

  • Leads hospital-wide quality and performance improvement (PI) initiatives to enhance patient safety, clinical effectiveness, and operational efficiency.
  • Oversees data-driven quality metrics collection, analysis, and reporting to identify trends, improve patient outcomes, and support evidence-based decision-making.
  • Ensures compliance with The Joint Commission (TJC), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), state health departments, and other regulatory bodies.
  • Directs the hospitals accreditation readiness program, including policy development, staff education, and survey preparation.
  • Collaborates with hospital leadership, physicians, and staff to foster a culture of continuous improvement and patient safety.
  • Utilizes benchmarking and evidence-based practices to guide decision-making and policy enhancements
  • Provides regular reports to hospital leadership, the Board of Governors, regulatory agencies, and accreditation bodies on quality performance and compliance status measures when needed.
  • Educates hospital staff on quality improvement methodologies and accreditation standards to ensure compliance and promote best practices.
  • Leads multidisciplinary teams in quality improvement projects

 


Qualifications

  • Degree in Nursing or Health-Related field required
  • Masters Degree in health related field preferred
  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) certification required
  • Minimum 5 years Experience in Quality related field required

  • Minimum of 5 years of acute care clinical experience required.

  • Quality and Management related experience preferred
  • Current Florida Nursing Licensure preferred
  • Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills and customer service skills required
