As an Assistant Supervisor with The Arc of Ocean County's Adult Day Program services, you'll help coordinate daily operations, support staff development, and contribute to individualized services that promote independence, vocational development, daily living skills, and community inclusion.

Position at a Glance

Location: Tuckerton, NJ | Toms River, NJ | Lakewood, NJ
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Pay: $26.00 per hour
Pay Schedule: Bi-Weekly
Overtime: Overtime Opportunities Available

Where You'll Make an ImpactGuide Daily Program Operations
  • Help oversee the daily activities and operations of the day program, contributing to an efficient and effective program environment.
  • Work alongside program leadership to uphold strong standards for participant care and service delivery.
  • Assist with coordinating staffing, daily workflow, and team communication so program needs are addressed effectively.
Strengthen Staff and Participant Development
  • Coach and support program employees while encouraging collaboration, teamwork, and continued professional development.
  • Assist with tracking and reviewing participant progress toward individualized objectives involving independence, vocational development, and daily living skills.
  • Help create opportunities for participants to build skills and take part in community activities and vocational experiences.
Advance Service Quality
  • Examine participant documentation and records to help ensure information is complete, accurate, and consistent with agency standards.
  • Contribute to a safe, inclusive, welcoming, and person-centered setting for people receiving services.
  • Participate in quality improvement efforts designed to strengthen outcomes and improve overall program effectiveness.
Connect Teams, Families, and Community Partners
  • Work collaboratively with families, Support Coordinators, funding agencies, and community organizations to promote coordinated and individualized supports.
  • Maintain clear communication with program leadership, staff, and interdisciplinary teams regarding participant needs and program priorities.
  • Build constructive professional relationships that support stronger services and greater community inclusion.

What You'll BringRequired Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Special Education, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities in a direct support, vocational, or adult day program setting.
  • Valid New Jersey driver's license in good standing with no more than five (5) motor vehicle points.
  • Ability to successfully complete required background screenings and maintain compliance with agency drug testing requirements.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience assisting with staff supervision, program coordination, and daily operational functions preferred.
