Compensation:
The base pay range for this position is $20.00 to $30.00 per hour. Placement within the range is determined by experience, skills, and qualifications. To maintain internal equity and provide opportunities for future growth, offers will typically not exceed the midpoint of the range.

Position Summary
The Deposit Operations Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of Harborstone's payment processing and deposit operations. This position is responsible for daily operational functions, researching and resolving exceptions, supporting branch and business teams, and maintaining compliance with applicable regulations, policies, and procedures.

What You'll Do
Payment Processing & Deposit Operations
- Perform critical daily payment and deposit operations functions accurately and on schedule.
- Process and reconcile ACH transactions, wire transfers, cash letters, check adjustments, and cash inventory activities.
- Support debit and credit card operations, including exception processing and reconciliation.
- Manage mail processing and other operational workflows essential to department success.
Research & Resolution
- Investigate and resolve transaction exceptions and operational discrepancies.
- Respond to account-related requests and inquiries in a timely manner.
- Process and respond to verifications of deposit, subpoenas, garnishments, levies, and related requests.
- Assist with specialized account administration, including IRA and decedent account processing.
Team & Member Support
- Provide operational support to branch teams and Cash Management.
- Assist with digital payment services, including Zelle®, Bill Pay, and Account-to-Account Transfers.
- Partner across departments to ensure efficient service delivery and positive member experiences.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Perform all duties in accordance with Harborstone policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Support operational risk mitigation through adherence to established controls and processes.
Qualifications
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience
- Minimum of two years of credit union, banking, or financial services experience required
- Experience in payment operations, deposit operations, or related back-office functions preferred
Technical Skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Experience working with core banking systems and payment platforms is a plus
