  • Schedule: 4-Day Work Week (Monday–Thursday) 8:00 -5:00 with occasional weekend coverage
  • Salary: $92,000–$105,000 annually

The Systems Administrator II serves as a technical leader responsible for maintaining, enhancing, and supporting the organization's IT infrastructure while partnering with staff across the agency to improve business operations and user experience.

Position Summary

The Systems Administrator II serves as a lead technical resource responsible for the design, administration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of DDRC's technology systems and applications. This role collaborates with employees across the organization to provide technical support, deliver user training, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement system enhancements that support business needs and organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deploy, configure, maintain, and optimize Windows servers in both on-premises and Microsoft Azure environments.
  • Administer and support workstations, mobile devices, and enterprise applications.
  • Perform system updates, patch management, monitoring, backups, and disaster recovery activities to ensure system availability and security.
  • Collaborate with IT team members to manage and monitor network infrastructure, including switches, firewalls, routers, VPNs, and related technologies.
  • Provide responsive technical support while helping monitor service desk performance, trends, and issue resolution.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls through Active Directory, Group Policy, scripting, and other tools.
  • Support cybersecurity initiatives and help protect organizational data and intellectual property.
  • Assist with technology planning, system improvements, and implementation of new solutions.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Six (6) years of progressively responsible systems administration experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience managing or supporting IT service desk operations.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365/O365 administration and support.
  • Experience supporting Windows Server environments and enterprise IT infrastructure.

Preferred

  • Experience with Microsoft Azure administration.
  • Experience with network infrastructure and security technologies.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Experience working in a collaborative, service-oriented environment.
