Adjunct Lecturer Mathematics

This(these) are a part-time, non-tenure position which is appointed on a per semester basis. 

Position(s) will be to teach

one or both sessions of 

MA103 03 4:00 PM - 6:45 PM Tuesday

MA103 04 4:00 PM - 6:45 PM Thursday

Essential Functions: 

• Teach 3 to 6 contact hours per semester of undergraduate level laboratory coursework.
• Follow departmental syllabi and outlines.
• Integrate the Mercy core values of respect, integrity, compassion, justice and service in all aspects of interaction.
• Advise and mentor students.
• Teach at the Lakewood, NJ campus. 
• Abide by all relevant university and/or department procedures and policies.

Qualifications:

• Master’s or doctorate degree in Mathematics or related area
• Demonstrated successful teaching experience at the college/university level;
• Experience using education software programs, such as Blackboard;
• Competence in teaching with computers.
