Chenega Government Mission Solutions, LLC, a Chenega Professional Services’ company, is looking for a Laboratory Technician in support of the Lame Deer Health Center Clinic in Lame Deer, MT. The outpatient clinic hours are Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., excluding federal holidays.

Position duration: 13+ weeks

40 hours a week

Responsibilities

  • Process and analyze clinical laboratory specimens using various diagnostic laboratory equipment such as analyzers, microscopes, and centrifuges.
  • Prepare patients and collect blood specimens utilizing venipuncture or capillary methods.
  • Prepare patients for collection of other specimen types such as urine and stool.
  • Review, verify and report patient results.
  • Perform, update and/or review Quality Control, Calibrations, and Maintenance.
  • Must be proficient in major areas of the clinical laboratory, such as clinical chemistry, hematology, coagulation, serology, urinalysis, and molecular testing.
  • Must be proficient at capillary and venous blood collection.
  • Must be able to and interact with a diverse patient range, from newborn to elderly, across hospitals and clinics.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Two-year associate’s degree in medical technology, Clinical Laboratory Science or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Certification as a Medical Technician by a recognized certifying body (e.g. ASCP, AMT)
  • 2-3 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting. Phlebotomy required.

Estimated Salary/Wage

USD $37.25/Hr.
