About the location:

Located on the southeastern coast of the pristine island of Lāna’i, lies the secluded retreat of Four Seasons Resort Lāna’i, an oceanfront destination offering travelers a curated, personalized island escape. The five-star, five-diamond Resort offers outdoor restaurants, including Nobu Lāna’i, a kid’s club, Tennis Garden, cultural programming, beach and pool with spacious seating areas nestled among tropical gardens, Hawanawana spa and luxury retail boutiques. Osteria Mozza Lāna'i

Acclaimed chef Nancy Silverton is known for Los Angeles eateries such as Michelin-starred Osteria Mozza, Pizzeria Mozza and chi SPACCA. Signature dishes include Nancy’s Caesar, Ricotta & Egg Raviolo, Grilled Hamachi Spiedino and Alla Benno pizza featuring pineapple in a nod to Lanai’s heritage. Salads will feature fresh lettuces from nearby Sensei Farms while pasta is made with local eggs, producing a uniquely rich fresh pasta dough. Breakfast specials include Smoked Salmon Crostone, Sourdough Waffles and Eggs in Purgator.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

The Food Runner supports efficient dining service by promptly and accurately delivering prepared dishes from the kitchen to guests. This role serves as a vital connection between the kitchen and service staff, ensuring correct presentation, adherence to guest modifications, and smooth overall service flow. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Deliver food promptly from the kitchen to the correct tables and seat positions while maintaining proper presentation and temperature

Verify order accuracy, including completeness, modifications, allergens, garnish, and clean plating before delivery

Coordinate dishes with table numbers to ensure smooth, accurate service

Demonstrate food, beverage, coffee, tea, and after-dinner drink knowledge, using correct setups and vessels when presenting items to guests

Provide warm, polite, and professional guest interactions while ensuring guest satisfaction during food delivery

Assist with table maintenance, including clearing plates, resetting tables, and supporting teammates during busy service periods

Perform setup and breakdown duties before and after service, including side stations, water stations, and ice buckets

Restock and maintain par levels of water, juices, sodas, and non-alcoholic beverages

Polish silverware and glassware to maintain service standards

Help arrange dining room tables, chairs, and sections prior to service to optimize guest flow and reservation management

WHAT TO BRING

Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in United States

The hospitality business functions seven (7) days a week, twenty-four (24) hours a day and scheduled days and times may vary based on need. Holidays and weekends availability is required.

Required by the Hawaii State Department of Health to obtain a Tuberculous (TB) clearance card

Hawaii Food Handler's Cardis required for this role

Maui Liquor Card is preferred, but not required

Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and push/pull as needed during shifts

Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked workspace. Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining professionalism and composure in a fast-paced environment
