EMT Supervisors assist in the coordination of the park's overall safety, and EMS Response. Ensuring compliance with all local, state, federal standards and all policies/procedures. Supervisory Duties:Ā
Supervise the daily operations of the EMT, First Aid and/or Safety teams,along with any other assigned departmentsĀ
Lead by example, attitude, and as a representation of Dutch Wonderlandās core valuesĀ
Act as an approachable mentor and coach to all assigned team membersĀ
Become knowledgeable of performing the essential duties of all EMT positions and backfill these positions when neededĀ
Participate in all aspects of supervision of assigned employees, including hiring,orientation, training, performance coaching, and discipline.Ā
Ensure that all required meal and other breaks are being given in accordance with PA lawĀ
Assist with team scheduling and timekeeping activitiesĀ

Departmental Duties:Ā
Exemplify and maintain the Total Safety culture and work ethic set by the leadership teamĀ
Maintain SOPs and local protocolsĀ
Assist with accident investigations of guest and employee incidents, as needed.Ā
Maintain First Aid, Injury & HSE files and ensuring accurate documentation while upholding confidentialityĀ
Provide quality patient care and emergency medical treatment to individuals of all ages in the pre-hospital setting, as per scope of practice by State law and by Medical Director approved protocolsĀ
Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls to provide efficient and immediate care to critically ill and injured personsĀ
Determine the nature of the illness or injury and administer treatment decisions based on appropriate protocols, techniques, resources, and equipment available to treat the illness or injuryĀ
Examine and evaluate patients to determine necessary careĀ
Maintain accurate documentation for patient care and condition, for all emergency medical treatments providedĀ Ā
Ensure EMS call and treatment documentation is sent to the appropriate receiving hospital/medical facilityĀ
Communicate with other healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care and coordination of servicesĀ
Assist with routine maintenance, inventory, cleanliness, and readiness of First Aid Office; inspect other equipment for functionality and keeps the office organized.Ā Ā
Maintain a safe, clean and well stocked environment for patientsĀ
Understand and comply with safety and infection control proceduresĀ
Maintain composure under high pressure and emergency situations and delegate as necessary while maintaining communications with Park managementĀ
Assist in maintaining OSHA compliance and documentation in all related areas.Ā
Oversee and perform inspections at various Park sites to verify compliance with Park safety standardsĀ
Maintain patient confidentiality and perform all care with respect for patient rightsĀ

Education & Experience:Ā Ā
High School diploma, GED, or equivalent; Equivalent work experience will also be consideredĀ
3+ years of previous field, ambulance and/or hospital work experience in an emergency care setting required.Ā
Current EMT Certification/License in the state of PA
NREMT Certification preferredĀ
Current CPR CertificationĀ
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) CertificationĀ

Language: Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English; Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus.Ā
