The Culinary Lead will be assigned oversight of the food preparation in one or more of the food service areas throughout the park or restaurant. This position will collaborate with the Food and Beverage Manager to ensure proper cooking and serving techniques, and also direct other cooks and food preparers to ensure efficient operation of the kitchen.We are currently looking for a:

Prepare workstations with supplies, foods, and condimentsÂ
Focus on delivering exceptional food quality for all meals preparedÂ
Prepare proper quantities of food according to department standards and individual guest needsÂ
Ensure that all service and hygienic practices, policies, and procedures are being followed at all timesÂ
Strictly abide by standards set forth by ServSafe, state and local regulations, company policy, and other food regulatory standards that may apply at Dutch Wonderland Inn
Provide direction and culinary expertise to other kitchen team membersÂ
Communicate with other kitchen team members to ensure efficient operationÂ
Carefully follow recipes and procedures while preparing all food dishesÂ
Utilize ovens, fryers, broilers, griddles, mixers, and knives to prepare food (age restrictions may apply)Â
Ensure food and ingredients are being properly stored at the correct temperaturesÂ
Pre-portion individual packaging sauces, sandwiches, salads, and other itemsÂ
Operate a Point-of-Sale (POS) system to record financial transactions, as neededÂ
Accurately handle food related tickets, coupons, gift cards, and/or fun moneyÂ
Escalate safety, hygienic, or maintenance issues to the proper authorities in a timely mannerÂ
Properly handle, label, stock, and store products including chemicals and cleaning supplies (age restrictions may apply)Â
Promptly notify the security team or the manager of team member and guest injuries or emergenciesÂ
All other duties assigned by leadershipÂ

Education and Experience:Â
No education requirements for this positionÂ
Culinary arts education a plus, but not requiredÂ
2+ years of previous experience as a chef, cook, or another culinary-related role highly desired, but not required.Â
Previous work experience as a kitchen lead or supervisor, highly desired.Â
Must be Food Handler Safety Certified (ServSafe or similar) or become so within 90 days of hire, when required by state and local guidelines.Â
Â
Language:Â Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English; Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus.Â

Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidaysÂ
Must have reliable transportation to and from your scheduled shiftÂ

Must possess practical working knowledge of food preparation or culinary artsÂ
Ability to follow direction, multi-task, and work as part of a team as well as independentlyÂ
