The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing hands-on daily inspections and maintenance, as well as the repair, removal, reinstallation, or replacement of buildings, and equipment throughout the Dutch Wonderland Property.The duties of this position include maintenance of general spaces within the Dutch Wonderland Inn, such as office buildings, pavilions, indoor pool and spa, or restrooms.

Roles & Responsibilities:Â
Perform general facility-wide maintenance and related work on roofing, exterior and interior buildings and structures, restrooms, food building and pump roomsÂ
Lead and assist with daily carpentry, painting, plumbing and electrical projectsÂ
Perform daily inspection and testing of amusement park rides, water rides, and all other attractions, signing off on its safety & completionÂ
Troubleshoot, test, service, and repair amusement rides including, but not limited to, the removal, reinstallation, and replacement of amusement ride partsÂ
Provide general upkeep and maintenance of all buildings and physical structures found within the park.Â
Provide general maintenance, plumbing, electrical and carpentry repairsÂ
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair broken equipment and attractions with minimal supervisionÂ
Develop an understanding of Electrical, Hydraulic, and Pneumatic Circuits to assist with maintaining continuous ride operationÂ
Perform water quality duties within Aquatics areas of the parkÂ
Safely operate heavy equipment including forklifts, scissor lift, and moreÂ
Operate Park motor vehicles on-and-off siteÂ
Perform landscaping duties including mowing, line trimming, grounds cleanup, pruning and planting, whenever assignedÂ
Assist in the training of how to accurately operate the ride, possibly offering ride coverage for bathroom and meal breaks during peak seasonÂ
Always adhere to all safety policies and proceduresÂ
Properly document work performed along with time and materials used per park policies and proceduresÂ
Report any maintenance, mechanical or structural issues to Maintenance and Park leadership in a timely and complete mannerÂ
All other duties as assigned by Maintenance or Park leadershipÂ

Education and Experience:Â
High School diploma, GED, or equivalent; Equivalent work experience will also be consideredÂ
Trade school training or other technical certification is a plusÂ
1+ year of previous maintenance or construction work experience desiredÂ
A background in a related trade such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting or landscaping is preferred but not requiredÂ
Previous work experience performing maintenance on roller coasters, amusement rides, or other attractions desired but not requiredÂ
Â
Language:Â Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English; Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus.Â
Requirements:Â Â Â
Must be at least 18 years of age to comply with PA Child Labor LawsÂ
Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, open to closeÂ
Must possess a valid driver’s license and a good driving recordÂ
Must possess strong mechanical aptitude and ability to utilize a variety of hand and power tools in a safe and effective manner, including landscaping equipmentÂ
General working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pumps, motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing and carpentry preferredÂ
Ability to read and comprehend ride maintenance manuals, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawingsÂ

Physical Requirements:Â
Ability to stand, walk, stoop, twist, kneel, bend, climb, or squat for long periods of timeÂ
Ability to remain on feet for majority of the workdayÂ
Ability to carry, push, pull, lift, and hold objects weighing 75 pounds or moreÂ
Ability to work in all non-conventional areas of the property, including in confined spaces or above ground-level, on scaffolds, ladders, and manliftsÂ
Ability to consistently use hands to grasp, control, move objects/toolsÂ
Ability to see differences between colors and brightnessÂ
Ability to see details of objects that are more than a few feet awayÂ

Working Conditions:Â
Frequent exposure to the variable outside temperatures, including high heat, cold, direct sun, humidity, dust, rain, snow, ice, and other weather conditionsÂ
Subject to constant repetitive motion, high noise levels, vibrations, motorized equipment, and exposure to various chemicals and greasesÂ
Subject to bloodborne pathogens; Proper PPE is required in these situations.Â
Subject to working at significant heights greater than 50 feetÂ
