MACHINES AND EQUIPMENT Drill presses, grinders, pipe threaders, hoists, conduit benders and similar or equivalent equipment required to complete the job.Set up and monitor cold end inspection equipment WSI, CYCLOPS, plug gage machines, and RobotsGAUGES AND TOOLSVarious large and small electronic measuring and testing devices, miscellaneous hand tools, and similar or equivalent tools/equipment. PC Based Diagnostic tools included.( Use PC/Laptop to diagnose control issues.)PRODUCTS OR MATERIALSAll materials associated with the repair and maintenance of plant equipment and similar or equivalent products and materials.WORK GUIDES AND INSTRUCTIONSGeneral verbal and occasional written instructions. Operate from complex blueprints and drawings.QUALITY REQUIREMENTSPerform work of satisfactory quality and quantity in accordance with plant operating procedures. Maintain overall quality awareness.WORK DESCRIPTION-Reason through and analyze complex problems associated with equipment and operational malfunctions.-Perform trouble-shooting functions to the board component level.-Work safely around voltages up to 69KV, aware of danger and always use appropriate PPE. -Install, inspect, adjust, repair and maintain all electrical and electronic equipment.-Understand plant power distribution system including 11 substations and over 3000 disconnecting locations.-Responsible for complex work planning in support of production schedules. -Make overall electrical repairs on plant equipment or high voltage lines.-Troubleshoot Boiler controls, hydrogen reformer (cracked gas) controls, AP5 controls -Calibrate and adjust instruments as required.-Troubleshoot motors and motor starters up to 4160V, servo drives and motors, prox switches, solenoids, limit switches -Interpret and maintain analysis information/calculate results. -Document complete daily activities cause and repair, log to equipment, using forms and shift notes-Troubleshoot cold end robots, servo pick n place including the use of associated pendant or hand controller.-Always follow Lock Out , Tag Out procedures-Maintain quality housekeeping and good safety practices in the work area.-Must complete required training (experience) as a qualification for this position.-Do other work as assigned by supervision.
