Job Description:

The Endoscopy Technician performs duties for all aspects of care and treatment of the patient and supports all functions related to endoscopic procedures under the direction of a Staff RN.

• Performs and assists with RN/physician during endoscopy procedure.
• Cleans and reprocesses endoscopic equipment and instruments.
• Reports observations and changes in condition or behavior of the patient to the nurse.
• Takes and records vital signs, heights and weights, as needed.
• Collects specimens and delivers them to the requested area.
• Transports patients safely.

Qualifications

Job Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required.
• CPR/When Seconds Count/HOPE within the first six months of employment.
• On the job training.

Exerting up to 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10-25 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible up to 10 pounds amount of force often.
