Job Description: The Inventory Assistant is responsible for frontline support of supply chain logistics working with the customer to assure product delivery within the needed timeframe. Pick-up and deliver items to the appropriate locations. Unload and verify incoming shipments and restock shelves as needed. Maintain daily activity logs. Par level and fill requisitions for departments throughout the organization. Maintain inventories by utilizing the materials management tools provided. Conducts physical/cycle count as scheduled. Maintains a neat, clean, safe work environment by using good storage techniques, rotating inventory and proper disposal of hazardous waste. Practice safe driving skills while complying with all transportation regulations. Supports moves, transport equipment and files to the warehouse for storage and ongoing management. Maintains a clean and safe vehicle, reporting any vehicle problems. Properly handle and store products to protect integrity. Uses proper lifting and loading techniques using the tools provided to support the task. QualificationsJob Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required. Customer service and/or inventory control experience. Exerting 50-100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10-20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical demand required requirements are in excess of those for Medium Work.
