We are looking for a Machine Operator to join our team! This is a full-time, union-hourly position located in Lancaster, PA. Hours are Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:30pm (over time as needed) Saturday hours 6:00am-12:00pm. Training pay is $21.44 per hour. After training, employees will earn incentive pay rate based on performance.  

This position will operate various manual and CNC production equipment as required to machine various castings, fabrications, subassemblies, and other materials. The ideal candidate will be able to read blueprints and measuring tools. 


Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Basic interpretation of drawings and dimensional tolerances
  • Basic machine shop practices
  • Proficient in the operation of various manual and CNC machining equipment as required by Supervision. Pieces of equipment include but not limited to radial arm drill presses, CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers, disc grinders, specialty and generic bore mills and various hand tools
  • Proficient in the use of all measuring equipment associated with maintaining accuracy required to machine previously mentioned boiler parts to specification
  • Ability to set up and make simple adjustments to various pieces of equipment
  • Understands various documentation as required to maintain accurate inventories, work in process and machined inventories
  • Performs related work as directed, commensurate with this or lesser rated labor grades

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read blueprints and/or diagrams a plus
  • Experience with measuring tools
