Role Description

The Process Engineer, Secondary will lead identification, development, and implantation of projects and process improvement initiatives in our glass manufacturing facility, in particular in our Decorating department.

 

Role Responsibilities

    • Identify, develop, and lead process improvement initiatives to achieve/exceed strategic operational, maintenance and reliability goals.
    • Act as change agent in challenging existing approaches and performance metrics
    • Apply methodology to identify most significant leverage points within process, quantify benefits, determine & lead implementation plan and monitor effect 
    • Identify additional project opportunities for development and implementation.
    • Define strategic initiatives to improve quality, productivity, and HS&E performance in the Manufacturing unit, including oversight of the Kamman & Eldred machines
    • Communicate project identification, prioritization and selection of projects and corresponding tracking, measuring, and reporting progress throughout organization.

Qualifications

    • Technical bachelor's degree (B. S.) from an accredited four-year college or University, preferably in an engineering, mathematics, or statistics discipline.
    • Minimum of five (5) years’ previous experience in a process engineering function within a manufacturing organization
    • Formal training in data analysis, process improvement and problem-solving techniques is beneficial
    • Desire and ability to demonstrate problem solving / process optimization capability.
    • Desire and ability to participate in a collaborative team-based environment to support accomplishment of company goals while remaining focused on individual goals and the contribution of the Process Engineering team
    • Excellent decision making and problem-solving skills that allow individual success in a very results-oriented environment.
    • Excellent communications & influencing skills in an environment of multiple disciplines and varying skills requirements.
    • Organizational ability to simultaneously manage multiple activities in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
    • Ability to communicate activities (both wins and losses) effectively at all organizational levels
    • Demonstrated commitment and ability to motivate others.
    • Desire and ability for continued professional growth within the Company through technical, business and behavioral accomplishment.
