POSITION: Project Executive (Development Construction Manager)

REPORTS TO: Director / Vice President, Xpert

COMPENSATION: Salary, plus Benefits and Bonus eligibility   
 LOCATION: Office / Project Sites – Hybrid Field Presence

 

SUMMARY  

We are seeking a highly motivated Project Executive to serve as an Owner’s Representative supporting LDG Development’s multifamily portfolio in Ohio. Employed through Xpert and embedded with the ownership team, this role is ideal for a professional who understands both real estate development and construction execution and thrives managing projects from concept through completion.

This position plays a critical role in protecting ownership interests, managing risk, and ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and in full compliance with Ohio LIHTC requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES (Including but not limited to)    

  • Represent ownership throughout design, preconstruction, construction, and closeout phases
  • Monitor budgets, schedules, and project performance metrics
  • Review GMPs, estimates, change orders, and pay applications
  • Coordinate architects, engineers, consultants, and contractors
  • Track compliance with OHFA and LIHTC program requirements
  • Conduct site visits to ensure quality, safety, and contract adherence
  • Identify risks early and implement mitigation strategies
  • Provide clear reporting to leadership and stakeholders
  • Manage third-party contractors
  • Permitting and monitoring state inspections

 

QUALIFICATIONS  

  • 7+ years in construction management, development, or owner’s representation
  • Proven experience delivering multifamily projects
  • LIHTC or affordable housing experience strongly preferred (Ohio experience a plus)

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, budgets, and scheduling
  • Familiarity with development processes, financing, and entitlements
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills

TECHNICAL TOOLS

  • Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, Excel, or similar platforms

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Real Estate, or related field.

WORK CONDITIONS  

You are required to work both inside and outside of the office and in all areas of the construction property, including new construction sites, inside the offices of the job trailer, walking the property, and have frequent exposure to outside elements where temperature, weather, odors, and landscape may be unpleasant and/or hazardous.    

  

   

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:  

 

To successfully perform the essential functions of this role, the team member must be able to engage in routine physical activities such as standing, walking, climbing, stooping, squatting, and using hands for typing and handling materials. The position requires the ability to access all areas of the construction sites—both interior and exterior—in varying weather conditions, including rain, snow, heat, and wind.  

   

Team members must be capable of lifting or moving items up to 15 pounds and possess adequate visual abilities, including close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel may be required for training, project support, or other job-related needs.
