QualificationsGeneral Position Summary The Quality Inspector would perform IQC (incoming quality control), IPQC (in-process quality control) and FQC (final quality control) activities on fitness equipment and electromechanical components to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and customer requirements. Daily routine involves following of inspection work instructions and routine use of good judgment and decision-making skills. The Quality Inspector will be required to work without guidance for up to 8 hours a day. Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities Responsible for assuring FQC (Final Quality Control) of Core Health & Fitness products using inspection techniques, sampling plans, and Inspection Equipment. Review and perform Receiving Inspection (Raw Materials) and Final Inspection. Perform sample inspections on OEM (Original equipment manufacturer) by assembling, testing, and repackaging samples as defined on quality control plans. This requires bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling and moving items. Work with manufacturing and engineering personnel to resolve quality issues and nonconformance's including corrective action follow up. Perform electromechanical troubleshooting of non-compliance products. Specific Job Requirements Solid English verbal and written communication skills. Experience with Visual and Mechanical Inspection Techniques following SOPs and Sampling plans. Strong Problem Solving and Trouble Shooting abilities. Knowledge of Corrective and Preventive Action programs a plus. Ability to work with minimal supervision, willingness to learn new skills and behaviors, self-motivated reliable team player. Ability to lift 40 lbs. Ability to work mandatory overtime. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Education and Experience Requirements High school Diploma or GED; Quality Inspector training/certification a plus 1-2 years of related experience. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures as it relates to quality control. Strong Microsoft Office experience Basic understanding of reading Engineering prints Working knowledge of inspection and measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, rulers, etc). Working knowledge of electrical measurement tools (multimeter, ammeter, etc).
