This role is part of our Purina Animal Nutrition business helping our network of local cooperatives, independent dealers and other large retailers serve producers, and animal owners throughout the United States. The Quality Production Supervisor will administer our quality programs, ensuring safe animal feed is produced in a manufacturing environment along with providing support in our production process by coordinating production, ingredient processing, taking the forefront in safety and quality, employee engagement and coaching and compliance with regulatory needs.Â
Our QA practices are housed in our QMS (Quality Management System). Following these practices, you will be able to implement new policies as regulations change as well as maintain existing practices. You will also interact with the production staff, providing coaching and training on quality standards, HACCP, and other regulatory initiatives. You will also lead continuous improvement projects and also provide root cause analysis and corrective actions to resolve issues.
Experience-Education (Required):
- High School Diploma/GED
- 5+ years of progressive experience in quality assurance in feed, food or related fields of operation.
- 5+ years of increasing responsibility in feed/ food manufacturing production environment.
- Solid organization skills and detail orientation skills
- Capacity for consistently meeting deadlines and managing multiple projects
- Demonstrated effective communication skills - written and verbal;
- Proven ability to coach, decision making, facilitates change, managing conflict; and ability to align performance with success.
Competencies-Skills (Required):
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements to include HACCP, GMP's.
- Possess integrity in products, processes, and relationships.
- Strong communication/interpersonal/training/coaching skills
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Analytical problem solving/root cause analysis .
- Ability to be insightful and act strategically and also tactically.
- Knowledge of FDA and other applicable regulatory agencies SOP's preferred
- Communication, Decision Making, Safety Awareness, Quality Orientation, Technical / Professional Knowledge, Customer Focus, Time Management, Computer skills.
Competencies-Skills (Preferred):
- Advanced Safety training, HACCP training/certifications
- MMT's can be considered for this position.
Hours: 1st Shift; 6am – 2pm (Mon -Fri) Weekend work as production requires
Salary: $69,040 - $103,560
In most cases, candidates offered employment can expect to be hired at a pay rate near the middle of our salary ranges
