The Shipping and Receiving Technician will load and unload material from trucks, properly identify product in containers, properly label containers and transfer material to designated storage area.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensures health and safety is the number one goal by following warehouse safety procedures and processes.
  • Weighs trucks and materials upon arrival and departure
  • Unloads and loads material from trucks using forklift.
  • Prepares loads for shipment, including repacking and consolidating.
  • Identifies material and verify required documentation is accurately completed.
  • Prepares material for shipment following DOT regulations.
  • Moves material to the proper storage areas using forklift.
  • Weighs all material and records weight on required documentation.
  • Labels containers according to company requirements and regulations
  • Data entry
  • Comply with all environmental, health and safety regulations.
  • Clean equipment and maintain cleanliness in work area.
  • All other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Frequently lift 10-40 pounds individually, and over 40 pounds with a team member.
  • Basic computer skills
  • Forklift experience.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Teamwork and communication skills

 

EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

 

  • High School Diploma or GED
