Job Description

As a Security Officer Entry Control in WEST POINT, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer in a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support a professional, welcoming experience for employees and visitors. You will help maintain a visible presence, respond to security-related concerns, and contribute through teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach in a role that values agility, reliability, and innovation.

Pay Rate: $16.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by following access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, issue visitor access in accordance with location protocols, and report unusual activity or policy concerns to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and supporting security-related response efforts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including production areas, shipping and receiving zones, and perimeter access points, as assigned.
• Help to deter unauthorized access, support traffic and delivery coordination at controlled entry points, and communicate clearly with staff regarding security-related procedures and/or restrictions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
