C Squared Systems is currently seeking a DAS (Distributed Antenna Systems) Field Engineer to join our team. If you are highly motivated and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment which occurs mainly in the field, this may be the role for you. You will be interacting with customers and co-workers on a daily basis and providing timely and detailed updates. This position will require you to be in the field 90% of the time.Ā
Primary Responsibilities:
Ā * Takes the lead on system commissioning, integrations, and activations
Ā * Troubleshooting existing Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) by performing system tests using scanners, spectrum analyzers, transmitters, and other electronic test equipment
Ā * Performs site surveys and in-depth walkthroughs
Ā * Works (hands on) with system components such as antennas, fiber optics, coax, and RF amplifiers
Ā * Troubleshoots and repairs systems for optimal performance
Ā * Application of RF principles/theory (signal path, power, frequency, noise, modulations, etc.)
Ā * Multi-tasks on projects on a day-to-day basis
Ā * Maintains test equipment and tools for continuous use
Ā * Travels to various job sites within Maryland and outlying regions (DC, Northern Virginia, Pennsylvania and Delaware)
Skills/Qualifications:
Ā * 2-year college degree (preferably technical) with relevant coursework, 4-year degree preferred
Ā * 2 years of related experience (previous experience with DAS architecture and other cellular systems), 3+ years preferred
Ā * Knowledge of various wireless technologies (LTE, 5G NR, etc.)
Ā * Possess strong technical aptitude and the desire to learn and advance within a technical field
Ā * Comfortable working in high pressure situations
Ā * Ability to receive and give direction on an as needed basis
Ā * Knowledge of RF optimization techniques and best practices
Ā * Proficient in basic computer applications (MS Office, etc.)
Ā * Must have a valid driverās license with reliable transportation
