Medication Technician and Direct Care Worker
Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Medication Technician and Direct Care Worker, where you will play a vital role in providing compassionate, patient-centered care to our residents. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring assistance with medication management and daily living activities, within a supportive and professional environment.
Schedule is 7p-7a, working 2 nights a week and every other weekend equaling 72 hours bi-weekly with available pickup time if interested in overtime.
Rate is 23.00 an hour and 1.00 shift differential
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer prescribed medications to residents accurately and in accordance with established protocols
- Monitor residents for any adverse reactions or side effects and report findings to healthcare professionals
- Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
- Support residents in maintaining their independence and dignity
- Document medication administration and care activities thoroughly and accurately
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents
- Follow all safety, health, and confidentiality policies and procedures

Requirements
Must have High School Diploma/GED from the United States and Direct Care Worker Certificate or a CNA certification
- Valid Certification as a Medication Technician through the State of Pennsylvania with observations.
- Previous experience in a direct care role needed preferably in a personal care home setting but not required.
- Strong understanding of medication administration and safety protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Must be punctual and have good attendance.
