Job Summary:

As part of the Transformation Management Office, the Project Manager – Growth Products will manage a portfolio of new product development projects at the project level. He or she will align priorities with the Greene Tweed Business Development team in order to oversee the execution of new products and prototypes from idea to customer adoption.Â
Markets of focus include aviation, defense, hydrogen, carbon capture and utilization, semiconductor, space, nuclear, and beyond.
Using best practices in Project Management, Continuous Improvement, and Stage Gate Development, he or she will stand up and lead project teams, lead project initiatives across matrixed support functions, and guide prioritization for greatest future financial impact.
The Project Manager – Growth Products will have a direct impact on the launch of new and differentiated products / technology into the market and to Greene Tweed’s long term growth roadmap.
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintains regular tactical and strategic alignment with commercial and leadership sponsors.
- Manages a portfolio of projects at the project level, with a high degree of ownership on business impact, voice of customer, project schedule, and project budget. Develops and drives project plans with clearly documented success criteria, utilizing project management best practices to deliver results.
- Demonstrates business acumen and critical thinking via thought partnership on market assumptions, commercia success probability, and long-term financial impact to Greene Tweed.
- Ability to interface with technical and manufacturing resources to drive and prioritize prototyping in support of new business. Ability to negotiate priorities and timelines across business units.
- Anticipates and identifies potential roadblocks and solicits input in overcoming barriers. Manages risk; leveraging structured approaches across financial planning, budget and schedule, customer requirements, commercial requirements, IP validation, supply chain requirements, manufacturing and quality capabilities, and resourcing plan.
- Tracks and forecasts progress to plan with a sense of urgency.
- Establishes cross-functional teams as required, ensuring clarity on roles and responsibilities, alignment, and setting the cadence for progress tracking.  Monitors and communicates regularly to team members on completion status of their project deliverables as well as project changes.
- Assesses, monitors and ensures availability of cross-functional resources to follow through on existing projects and initiation of new projects.
- Maintains effective relationships with team members, stakeholders, and customers. Models trust and respect in all interactions with demonstrated ability to influence at multiple levels of an organization.Â
- Ensures deliverables meet customer product specifications or else aligns with stakeholders on whether re-negotiation with customer is viable and consistent with business goals. Familiarity with stage gate processes and product roadmaps.
- Drives an environment of continuous improvement among project team members; Leverages lean six sigma best practices and draws on the continuous improvement team for high impact support.
- Protects GT IP by executing appropriate agreements with customers, suppliers or partners and maintains an awareness of IP throughout the functional groups. Â Â Ensures non-disclosure agreements are in place as appropriate.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: • B.S or equivalent in Technical, Marketing, or Commercial disciplines;
- Project Management certification preferred;Â Â Â 2+ years of focused project management experience required
- Prior participation in Continuous Improvement projects, and/or prior use Continuous Improvement tools and methodology strongly desired
- Min 7-10 yrs experience preferably in progressively challenging engineering, technology, project management and/or leadership roles
