Job Description

We offer a merit-based work-from-home program based on job responsibilities. After initial training in-person, this specific role could have the flexibility to work from home up to 3 days a week.

Auto-Owners Insurance, a top-rated insurance carrier, is seeking a motivated Customer Service Representative to join our team. The position requires the person to:

Communicate and work with customers and associates at all levels
Learn how to and then assist with reviewing and answering basic inquiries from customers.
Learn how to and then make computer inquiries and entries relating to customer accounts
Learn how to and then communicate with customers and others as needed to research problems and find solutions
Learn how to and then collect pertinent information from customers to handle inquiries in a timely and accurate manner.
Prioritize and organize work to ensure it is completed in a timely manner.
Document customer requests and Learn how to and then assist agents with basic tasks.
Work with confidential and/or sensitive information, data, and matters in accordance with Company standards.
Maintain punctual attendance according to an assigned work schedule at a Company approved work location.
Assist with other duties as assigned within the department or elsewhere upon request

Desired Skills & Experience

High School Diploma or its equivalent is required
Direct insurance agency/company experience is a plus
Must type a minimum of 40 words per minute with 85% accuracy
Flexibility for occasional and/or seasonal overtime
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to handle multiple assignments
