Description: 
As a Computer Science Engineering Intern at LGESMI you will working directly with our team of Engineers and will be working on projects that will offer the opportunity to learn general battery production process; understand battery materials – strength and composition.

 

Responsibilities: At LGESMI you will working directly with our software Engineers and will be working on projects that include:

  • Work closely with engineers in our Advanced Automotive Battery Division on product enhancement and new product development 
  • Interface with team members in the plant and office and contractors, etc. 
  • Evaluate existing procedures for opportunities to improve product design and manufacturability 
  • Exposure to code construction, static analysis, unit testing, and code reviews, and ensuring proper configuration control for all software related work products
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement projects
  • Develop procedures, forms, checklists, and schedules to support process development and improvement
  • Research new technologies, equipment, supplies to help improve the operation


Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Computer Science Engineering -Junior or Senior standing 
  • Minimum GPA requirement of 3.0 GPA or higher
  • Excellent communication skills: verbal, written, presentation
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to new tasks and projects
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated teamwork and effectiveness in accomplishing goals
