Federal Work Study - Chemistry

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Aiding the instructor in setting-up laboratory exercises.
• Organizing equipment and supplies for lab exercises
• Preparing solutions and chemicals for General and Organic Chemistry courses
• Aiding the instructor in laboratory clean-up - washing laboratory glassware and putting away equipment and supplies
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
• Complete the Federal Work Study orientation.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Interest in the Sciences
• Passed College-level General Chemistry courses.
• Ability to effectively follow direction and protocols
• A team player with strong communication skills
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Computer skills or a willingness to learn
• Ability to appropriately handle confidential information
