Creative Dining Services at Auto Owners in Lansing, MI is looking for a full time Sous Chef.Â
The Sous Chef is responsible for planning and directing food preparation. This includes supervision of staff and other administrative duties.Â
Core Responsibilities
- Time food production such that all food is ready at the time of service.Â
- Supervise and train staff.Â
- Read and understand Function Sheets for menus and time of functions.Â
- Produce and maintain prep sheets and duty rosters.Â
- Utilize batch cooking techniques to avoid over or under production. If work shift requires, properly open and/or close the kitchen.Â
Â
The Ideal Candidate will have:Â
- High School diploma or equivalent requiredÂ
- Culinary Arts Degree preferredÂ
- 1 – 3 years cooking experienceÂ
- Supervisory experience preferredÂ
- ServSafe CertificationÂ
- First Aid training
