What you will be doing:
- Providing patient care, developing pharmacy counseling skills, and actively participating in clinical servicesÂ
- Building OTC knowledge and delivering well developed recommendations​Â
- Refining communication and leadership skills to assure effective interactions with patients and the pharmacy teamÂ
- Gaining foundational pharmacy knowledge for future success Â
Pharmacy intern responsibilities:Â Â
- Perform all duties under the supervision of a registered pharmacist or designated pharmacist preceptorÂ
- Complete all steps required to fill prescriptions in compliance with all laws, regulations, and company policies and proceduresÂ
- Offer advice and consultation to customers and health care professionals regarding prescription knowledge, drug therapy, and health related products and concernsÂ
- Participate in a diverse range of experiences to develop your skills as a pharmacistÂ
- Spend 4 days per week at pharmacy in workflow and 1 day in structured interactive meeting Â
What we are searching for:
- Availability to participate in a 7-week program from June 15th through July 31st
- Must be enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited school of pharmacyÂ
- Must have an active pharmacy license in state(s) of practice with all held licenses in good standing Â
- Ability to work a variety of schedules Â
- 40 hours per week for 5 weeks and 32 hours during two holiday weeksÂ
Pay Transparency:Â
Starting rates will be no less than the local minimum wage and may vary based on criteria such as location, experience, and qualifications. Candidates with unique qualifications may be considered for compensation above this range. Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, sick pay, PTO/Vacation Pay or Flexible Time Off, paid holidays, bereavement pay, and retirement benefits (pension and/or 401k eligibility). ​
