Albany County Sheriff's Office is currently seeking a full-time Assistant Office Manager. 


The Assistant Office Manager is responsible for performing clerical duties in an office setting, including sorting mail, filing, scanning documents, answering phone calls and/or emails, greeting customers and restocking supplies, and assisting in the preparation of civil process and warrant records.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    1. Answer phones, reroute calls to appropriate agencies, and take and deliver messages
    2. Operate office machines, such as photocopiers, voice mail systems, and personal computers
    3. Assist in filing/scanning duties
    4. Sort and distribute incoming mail
    5. Data Entry
    6. Restock supplies
    7. Prepares Civil Process that comes through the courts and/or USPS, UPS, and FedEx
    8. Assists in preparing warrant folders, sending postcards out
    9. Prepares vouchers
    10. Maintains vehicle fleet maintenance
    11. Sex Offender Entries into Offender Watch System
    12. Vehicle Identification Number Inspections
    13. Notarizes documents
    14. Processes concealed weapon permits for record checks
    15. Delivers/Receives mail from our Dispatch Center, District and Circuit Courts
    16. Set up foreclosure sales
    17. Any other reasonable duty as assigned by the Sheriff


This position reports directly to the Sheriff.
