JOB TITLE:  

Car Rental Attendant  

JOB PURPOSE:   

Prepare vehicles for car rental customers. 

Please Note: Starting Salary: $11.00 per hour. After successfully completing a 4-month probationary period, the hourly rate increases to $11.50 per hour.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Fuel rental vehicles upon return. 
  • Staging vehicles for outgoing rentals. 
  • Prep and staging vehicles for outgoing rentals. 
  • Transporting vehicles as needed. 
  • Provide courtesy rides for customers as needed. 
  • Inspecting vehicles and document damages. 
  • Complete all other duties as assigned. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Hold a current driver’s license with a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) in compliance with the ‘Driving for University Business Standard Administrative Policy and Procedure.’
  • Availability in the afternoons is required.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:   

  • Ability to read, understand and follow all traffic laws. 
  • Ability to read, understand and follow set guidelines and regulations. 
  • Ability to operate vehicles in a safe and professional manner in all types of weather and road conditions. 
  • Ability to park and back-up vehicles into designated areas. 
  • Ability to be on time, reliable and able to complete assignments in a timely manner.
