Sonic Summary

The position requires an ICC Reinforced Concrete Special Inspector and an ICC-SMSI Structural Masonry Special Inspector, although candidates with only one certification may still be considered.
The role involves preparing detailed daily reports for each inspection and test, which must include specific information such as date, inspector name, location, and results.
Any discrepancies found during inspections must be reported to the Contractor immediately, and if unresolved, the Special Inspector must notify the Contractor QC Manager.
At the end of the project, the Special Inspector is responsible for providing a statement confirming that all work was completed in substantial conformance with the Contract Documents.
Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience in a related field, with a salary range of $70,000 to $90,000 annually.

RECORDS AND REPORTS

Detailed daily reports shall be prepared for each inspection and test by the Special Inspector and

Testing Laboratory.

Reports shall include:

Date of test or inspection
Name of Inspector or Technician
Location of specific areas tested or inspected
Description of test or inspection and results
Applicable ASTM standard
Weather conditions
Inspector signature
Any discrepancies from the Contract Documents found during a Special Inspection shall be immediately reported to the Contractor. If the discrepancies are not corrected, the Special

Inspector shall notify the Contractor QC Manager. Reports shall document all discrepancies identified and the corrective action taken.

At the completion of the work requiring Special Inspections, the Special Inspector shall provide a statement to the Contractor and Designer of Record that all work was

completed in substantial conformance with the Contract Documents and that all appropriate inspections and tests were performed.
