Weekly Pay: $1,250–$1,500
Home Time: Every Other Weekend
Freight: No-Touch Dry Van
Running Area: Southwest Regional Network
Hiring Area: Laredo, TX
Experience Required: 3 Months Recent Tractor-Trailer Experience

Southwest freight continuity and dependable dispatch planning create a more consistent driving experience for CDL A drivers based in Laredo. This position keeps drivers moving through established freight lanes supported by steady customer demand across Texas and surrounding markets. Dispatch focuses on maintaining reliable load transitions and keeping schedules organized, giving drivers a clearer idea of what to expect throughout the week. For drivers who want consistent miles without dealing with frequent changes in freight direction, this fleet offers a straightforward setup.

Southwest Freight Network

Drivers haul dry van freight through established Southwest lanes connecting Laredo with major freight markets throughout Texas and surrounding states. The network is supported by consistent freight volume, helping provide reliable load availability throughout the year.

The majority of freight is no-touch, with a combination of drop-and-hook loads and scheduled live unload deliveries. Drivers can focus primarily on driving instead of handling freight at customer locations. Dispatch works to coordinate the next assignment whenever possible before the current load is completed, helping limit extended gaps between runs.

Pay & Weekly Earnings

Average weekly pay ranges from $1,250 to $1,500 depending on mileage, freight volume, and overall performance. Consistent freight movement throughout the Southwest helps drivers maintain productive weekly miles and more dependable earnings.

Qualifying detention pay is available for eligible customer delays. Additional performance incentives may also be available for safe driving, reliability, and consistent service.

Schedule & Home Time

Drivers follow a 12-day operating cycle with 48 hours at home every other weekend. Home time is incorporated into the schedule so drivers have a regular work and home routine instead of relying on last-minute routing decisions.

Dispatch reliability is an important part of the operation. Loads are coordinated around established freight lanes, helping reduce unnecessary route changes and giving drivers better visibility into upcoming assignments and scheduled home time.

Truck & Equipment

Drivers operate late-model sleeper trucks with automatic transmissions. Trucks are equipped with APUs and power inverters for additional comfort while on the road. Refrigerator space is available, and most units include mounting options for a television and microwave.

Equipment is maintained regularly to help reduce preventable downtime and keep drivers moving.

Benefits

After meeting eligibility requirements, drivers have access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid vacation, and 401(k) options. Rider and pet programs are also available for approved drivers.
