Job DetailsJob Location: RK Warehouse - Laredo, TX 78045Position Type: Non-ExemptJob Category: WarehouseResponsible for ensuring all products is received and shipped with complete accuracy, including physically counting, scanning, and verifying inventory stock.  Responsible for operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle and may also be required to perform Order Filler and Checker duties.   This job description reflects the current assignment of essential functions and is not meant to be all-inclusive.  Duties and responsibilities may be assigned or reassigned to this job at any time and may be modified to reasonably accommodate an individual with a disability or for other reasons.   ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:   Shipping:  Verifies physically all outbound trailers are picked and loaded correctly: •          Verifies quantities staged against the work order •          Scans pallet label •          Visibly verifies SKU number, Serial, lot code and confirms pallet count •          Reports any discrepancies to the Warehouse Team Leader   Receiving:  Verifies physically all inbound trailers are received and located in correct storage locations. Verifies quantities actually received against the work order, packing list or Invoice. Scans, place green label once the materials are reviewed. Reports any discrepancies to the receiving clerk. Identification label, part number & description, quantity & overall condition,good  Pallet condition and Plastic Wrap. Any OS&D identified and reported to receiving clerk and customer along with a photo of the product sent   Special Projects: Assist on all projects when required including lifting, sorting, and wrapping pallets.  Keep appropriate records and reports to guarantee that tight inventory control and security are maintained. Assist in physical inventories. Ensure proper stock rotation. Assist in order Split,and Airport Charter separation. Cycle counts must be done every day and a minimum of two rows must.be scanned.   Safety, Sanitation, Security: Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area. Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse. Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety. Comply with OSHA and MSDS Standards.  Perform or assist in building, grounds, and equipment maintenance as required.   MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Training & Experience):                      High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred and one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Forklift certification preferred and operate an order picker.   KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of part numbers and part usage and understand applications for use. Knowledge of shipping, receiving, issuing, delivery, inventory control, and stock handling procedures. Knowledge of common tools, supplies, and equipment. Ability to read, write legibly, and compute simple arithmetic functions accurately. Ability to lift and carry moderately heavy and bulky items. Knowledge of safe methods of handling and warehousing a variety of materials. Knowledge of computer functions related to inventory control. Ability to operate and control a self-propelled forklift and warehousing equipment. Familiarity with material handling and radio frequency equipment is needed. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate in English & Spanish. Ability to take and follow directions from Team Lead & Supervisor. Ability to give directions to and gain compliance from assigned staff. Ability to perform other duties as assigned. Ability to maintain good planning and organizational skills. Ability to maintain a good and positive working relationship with all co-workers and other contacts. Required to comply with all JAMCO’s policies and procedures.   PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work is performed outside having a variety of weather conditions with exposure to outdoor elements, such as: fumes, smoke or gases, dust, grease, and oils. Work involves rotating shifts and working extended workdays outside the regular working hours and on-call. Capable of working closely with others, and with moving objects or vehicles in an excessive noisy environment. Exposure to unknown and dangerous conditions.   Work requires straight pulling, simple and dual simultaneous grasping, standing, sitting, crouching, twisting, pushing, stooping, reaching above shoulders, climbing stairs, walking, carrying over 45 pounds, and moderate lifting over 45 pounds.
