Purpose:Â Produce parts that meet requirements using a variety of manual and/or automated equipment through established procedures.Â
Key Duties and Responsibilities:Â
This is an associate level role. Responsibilities may include:Â
Operate various manual and CNC machines that are already set up and the process is clearly defined.Â
Follow written and verbal instructions, read basic blueprints or mechanical drawings after instruction.Â
Recognize machining or manufacturing problems to produce defect free parts.Â
Accurately perform measurement tasks utilizing measurement devices such as calipers, micrometers, etc.Â
Learn and perform preventative maintenance on tools, equipment and machines as required.Â
Preferred Qualifications: Â
Previous experience with basic metrology (calipers, micrometers) preferred.Â
Basic blueprint reading experience preferred.Â
Other Attributes: Â
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions, read basic blueprints or mechanical drawings, use shop math, and operate various types of production machines. Â
Ability to produce parts at the rate established for a particular operation. Â
Ability to accurately use basic machine shop measuring devices. Â
