Job Summary

The Procedural Services Supply Coordinator & Surgical Technologist is a dual-role position responsible for supporting both supply coordination and surgical services operations. This role maintains appropriate inventory levels of medical supplies and equipment within the Operating Room (OR) and Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab), ensuring clinical areas remain fully stocked, organized, and compliant with regulatory standards while supporting cost containment initiatives and supply chain efficiency.

This position works collaboratively with clinical staff, Materials Management, and leadership to balance patient care needs with fiscal responsibility.

In the Surgical Technologist role, responsibilities include preparing sterile operating rooms for surgeries, verifying sterilization of equipment and instruments, stocking adequate surgical supplies, preparing patients for procedures, and providing intraoperative support by passing instruments and supplies to the surgical team.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Maintain inventory and par levels for OR and Cath Lab supplies and equipment
  • Coordinate ordering, receiving, stocking, and organization of procedural supplies
  • Monitor product usage and assist with cost containment initiatives
  • Ensure supply areas meet regulatory and infection prevention standards
  • Collaborate with Materials Management and clinical leadership regarding supply needs
  • Prepare and maintain sterile surgical environments
  • Verify sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment
  • Prepare patients for surgical procedures
  • Assist physicians and nurses during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
  • Maintain accurate documentation related to supplies and surgical procedures
  • Participate in on-call coverage as required

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare environment
  • Experience in an Operating Room, Cath Lab, Central Supply, or healthcare materials management
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts
  • Current BLS Certification
  • Meet all Employee Health Requirements

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of surgical and cardiovascular supplies
  • Experience with inventory management systems
