Sparrow Company is searching for dependable and detail-oriented Food Production Sorters to join a food manufacturing team in Las Cruces. This position is responsible for sorting chili products while ensuring the highest standards of quality, food safety, and Good Manufacturing Practices. The ideal candidate has a strong attention to detail, works well in a fast-paced environment, and is committed to maintaining a safe and sanitary workplace.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

• Sort chili products by identifying and removing foreign materials, damaged product, and product that does not meet quality standards
• Inspect products throughout the production process to ensure quality and consistency
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
• Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the shift
• Report quality concerns, safety hazards, or equipment issues to supervisors immediately
• Work efficiently to meet production goals while maintaining quality standards
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures
• Assist with general production and housekeeping duties as assigned
• Work effectively with team members to support daily production operations
• Perform other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous experience in food manufacturing or food production preferred
• Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify product defects
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and food safety procedures preferred
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
• Reliable, dependable, and punctual
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and sanitary work environment
