Mesilla Valley Hospital is currently seeking a PRN Weekend Housekeeping Supervisor

 

POSITION SUMMARY:  The Housekeeping Supervisor provides supervisory support and assists the housekeepers in daily housekeeping routines such as cleaning patient rooms, offices and public areas, while ensuring a safe and risk preventative environment within OSHA regulations.

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:  A minimum of three years experience in housekeeping field, with at least one-year prior experience in supervising housekeeping personnel.

 

SKILLS:  Knowledge of all code procedures.  Skill in organizing and prioritizing workloads to meet deadlines.  Effective oral and written communication skills.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Ability to stand, walk and sit for long periods of time.
  2. Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds.
  3. Ability to twist, turn, stoop, kneel and bend daily.
  4. Ability to read, write and follow simple instructions.
  5. Ability to use hands in the performance of cleaning duties and the use of cleaning equipment.
  6. Ability to handle a variety of repetitive tasks.
  7. Ability to exert up to 80 pounds of force to move objects.
  8. Ability to respond to exposure to blood and bodily fluids.

 

STAFF DEVELOPMENT REQUIREMENTS:

Must meet or exceed hospital and regulatory agency training requirements.
