The Coding Specialist is responsible for accurate and timely assignment and review of professional coding related to ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS codes for multi-specialty group.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or GED equivalency
QUALIFICATIONS
- Certified Professional Coding Designation (CPC) or equivalent certification required
- Knowledge of ICD-10, and CPT coding guidelinesÂ
- Medical terminology; anatomy and physiologyÂ
- Knowledge of payor guidelinesÂ
- Demonstrated ability to use a computer with Microsoft Office knowledgeÂ
- Excellent oral/written communication skillsÂ
- Must be well organized and detail-oriented
- Current and valid driver’s license Â
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees and publicÂ
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- May include standing, sitting, and/or walking for extended periods
- May include performing repetitive tasks
- May include lifting up to 25 poundsÂ
