Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Front Desk Representative to join our busy ophthalmology practice. The ideal candidate must have experience verifying insurance benefits, collecting copays and balances, scheduling appointments, and providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced medical environment. This position requires strong multitasking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.

Responsibilities 
  • Greet patients and provide exceptional customer service
  • Check patients in and out efficiently
  • Verify insurance eligibility and benefits
  • Collect copays, deductibles, coinsurance, and outstanding balances
  • Schedule and confirm appointments
  • Answer high-volume phone calls and assist patients with questions
  • Enter and update patient demographics and insurance information
  • Scan and upload insurance cards, referrals, and medical records
  • Coordinate with providers and staff to ensure smooth patient flow
  • Maintain accuracy while working in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications
  • Two or more years of experience as a receptionist or similar role is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills with a commitment to customer service
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude
  • Familiar with computers and scheduling software
  • Excellent multi-tasking skills
