Job DetailsJob Location: Las Vegas, NV 89106  Job Summary: The MRI Technologist is responsible for producing high-quality diagnostic images using magnetic resonance imaging equipment while providing excellent patient care. This role involves both technical operation of imaging equipment and interaction with patients of all backgrounds and ages, ensuring their safety, comfort, and understanding of the procedure.   Description of duties/essential functions: (Individual duties, assignments and responsibilities required of the position)   Clinical Duties Take and document patient medical histories. Answer questions and explain MRI procedures to patients. Position patients according to established protocols to ensure quality imaging and safety. Operate MRI equipment and adjust settings as needed to capture accurate and high-quality images. Evaluate images to confirm they meet the ordering provider's diagnostic requirements. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the MRI suite, locker room, and surrounding areas. Administrative & Technical Duties Enter patient and procedure data into the electronic medical records (EMR) system. Ensure MRI documentation is complete, accurate, and submitted in a timely manner. Follow safety protocols, including screening for contraindications and monitoring patients during procedures. Identify and report equipment malfunctions and assist with routine maintenance or troubleshooting. QualificationsRequired Qualifications: Completion of an accredited MRI Technologist training program. Current ARRT (MR) certification or equivalent. Current CPR certification. 1+ year of experience as an MRI Technologist preferred. Proficiency in operating MRI machines, computers, and digital imaging systems. Key Skills & Competencies: Strong attention to detail, especially in image quality and safety protocols. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to comfort, position, and work with patients in varying physical or emotional states. Technical proficiency and problem-solving abilities related to MRI systems. Professionalism, discretion, and adherence to confidentiality and HIPAA standards. Work Environment: Imaging/radiology suite within a clinical or outpatient setting. Exposure to magnetic fields and patients undergoing diagnostic imaging. May require standing for extended periods, assisting with patient transfers, and working around high-tech equipment
