Job DetailsJob Location: Las Vegas , NM 87701Position Type: Full Time -RegEducation Level: Masters DegreeSalary Range: $45,000.00 - $65,650.00Job Category: StaffProvides direct oversite and decision making in the management of New Mexico Highlands University athletic facilities, as well as other designated facilities utilized for home athletic contests and other special events. Provides oversite, management, and supervision of all NMHU gameday operations for all athletic events. Establishes, cultivates and maintains effective working relationships with various internal and external constituents. Actively participates in the planning, maintenance and oversight of the master schedule for all indoor and outdoor practices for athletic teams in collaboration with appropriate personnel to ensure proper preparation, set-up and breakdown of designated facilities. Serves as a host to donors, VIPs, the community and local and state governments     Essential Duties and Responsibilities   Provides oversite and decision making in the day-to-day operations of the athletic facilities and the athletic department including; resolving complaints or problems that arise during internal or external events.  Assist and supervise with the physical set-up of equipment for events throughout the athletic facilities.  Serves as the point of contact for facility outsourced services during events (i.e. concessions, box office, parking, custodial) and as a game management administrator at designated athletic events  Responsible for working with campus police to ensure proper planning, safety and security for the athletic facilities.  Maintains positive working relationship with university employees and outsourced constituents directly involved with the operation of the university athletic facilities.  Oversee identification and follow through of facility related work orders required to maintain the athletic facilities.  Supervise full-time staff, interns, graduate assistants, state/federal work-study students, students, volunteers and provide training to all involved.  Oversee the sport information director with the management and game personnel of all athletic events, interns, federal work-study students and volunteers.  Assists administration with revising and creating athletic department policies and procedures  Assist in the planning and preparation of internal and external events.  Operates as game manager for select home contests, including visitor arrivals, safety, locker rooms, practice times and lodging.  Collaborate with the university facility’s department to make sure proper quotes are received and work is being done in a timely manner.  · Direct supervision of sports programs as assigned by the Director of Athletics  · Additional duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics.  QualificationsMinimum Qualifications   Required Degree(s):  Bachelor's degree One (1) year in collegiate athletics Required Licensure(s):  Valid, insurable driver’s license        Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities   Ability to deal with diverse group of young adults  Current knowledge of NCAA, Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, and University policies  CPR /AED  Well organized  Interact with vendors for orders/ deliveries  Quantitative- budgets  Technological aptitude – sound systems, computers, scoreboards, camera systems, lighting systems,
