This role is critical for us to succeed as an approachable, luxury destination offering best-in-class hospitality and exciting amenities for all. In addition, you will ensure our team members have the resources to provide our guests with memorable moments at Durango.

While there are several tasks that define your role, you will need to be really good at making it easy for our guests: delivering service with a personal touch and delighting others whenever possible, all with an approachable sense of luxury. Most of the time, you will be:

• Responding to and assisting in all emergencies, including but not limited to fires, medical emergencies, and criminal activity. 

• Responding to all disturbances in order to defuse the incident. Prepared to become involved in a physical confrontation when necessary. Always remain alert. 

• Patrolling hotel grounds, parking areas and surrounding areas continually observing for prowlers, parking in restricted areas, blocking of exits and fire hazards. 

• Alert for burglaries, prowlers, vandalism, trespassers and removal of hotel/casino property without proper authorization.

In a perfect world, we would also like you to come with:

• Previous Security Officer, Law Enforcement or Military experience preferred. 

• Ability to obtain a Nevada Gaming registration (must be 21 years of age), Alcohol Awareness Certification card, (must be 21 years of age) and valid driver's license.

• Ability to obtain and pass firearm’s certification

• Must be able to successfully complete bike training course
