Overview

To supervise Casino Cashiers in all areas of the main cage.  Assisting the Cage Manager in management situations, acting Cage Manager when Cage Manager is unavailable. Responsible for staffing the Casino Cage addressing customer disputes.  Issuing and enforcing the policies and procedures. This position must also exhibit a high level of professional and personalized guest service that embodies the Company’s brand standard and core values (K.E.E.P. – Kindness, Engagement, Empathy and Positivity). 


Responsibilities

  • Supervise cashiers in areas of front line cashiering.
  • Assist in training of new cashiers in all areas and handling all customer problems, special requests and credit extensions.
  • Scheduling of cashiers in all areas performing large company bank deposits, and researching accounting historical information.
  • Performs the duties of a cage cashier during low staffing periods.
  • Sale and redemption of casino chips and/or coin for cash, foreign chips, GNLV chips and other “like money” items in a timely manner as requested by customers.
  • Issuance and redemption of markers and customer deposit/withdrawals for cash, chips, checks and/or wire transfers.
  • Cashing of checks for cash utilizing computer terminals, credit card advances, maintaining inventory of documents and negotiable instruments.
  • Redemption of slot tickets and customer promotion vouchers and airfare.
  • Prepare reports, assignment of company funds and recordation of departmental revenues, verification of cash, coin, documents and chip inventory (removal and rotation).
  • Establish new computer accounts issuing 24 Karat player rating cards and process document requirements for credit, check cashing with policy and regulatory guidelines.
  • Report and log all Title 31 transactions.
  • Performs Chip Bank and Marker Bank functions.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested.
  • Audit daily Title 31 transactions.
  • Verifies all cash outs for Cage Cashiers, over 3,000, to ensure accuracy and Title 31 compliance.
  • Issue employee discipline and counseling.

  • Two (2) years Cage Cashier experience, knowledge in all areas of the cage.
  • Must possess basic mathematical skills to include ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
  • Ability to read and understand all policies and procedures.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with guests, employees, and members of management in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities.
  • Must be able to complete standard forms and reports.
