Summary of Job Duties:

Assists in the supervision of the Guest Services department with an emphasis on staffing and organization. 

Specific and Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Keep track of guest room attendant’s station keys
  • Input and check room status in computer for GRA or Supervisor
  • Ensure daily staffing levels are adequate
  • Answer phones and put requests in log-books
  • Check all uniforms, linen, bedding, and supplies for accuracy and inventory control 
  • Contact Supervisors and/or Guest Service Attendants for rush rooms, guest requests, etc.
  • Keep track of all lost and found items on a daily basis
  • Assist supervisors, managers or other departments when needed
  • Keep housekeeping area clean
  • Prepare GRA, GSA and Supervisor papers
  • Contact Engineering and Clean Team when their services are needed
  • Make copies of department forms when needed
  • Keep track of irons, ironing boards and hair dryers coming in/out of department
  • Alert the Front Desk Supervisor of room discrepancies
  • Assist GRA’s and GSA’s with obtaining supplies including moving hampers, and getting supplies from high shelves
  • Arriving on time for all scheduled shifts
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

 KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledgeable with OSHA regulations, to include implementation and enforcement of safety guidelines, proper chemical usage, handling of BIOHAZARD materials, and injury prevention
  • Able to deal and interact with management, employees, and guests in an effective and diplomatic manner
  • Knowledgeable of all cleaning procedures, equipment, and supplies
  • Strong leadership qualities and sound judgment with effective decision-making and problem solving skills
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English, in both written and verbal forms
  • Must have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts
  • The ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One (1) year of relevant experience
  • Must be able to read, write and speak understandable English

PREFERRED:

  • Two (2) years of previous experience in a similar supervisory or management role working in a similar resort setting
  • Bilingual abilities, English as the primary or secondary language

Machinery or Work Equipment Used:

  • Multi-line telephone, fax machine, personal computer, printer, copier, paper shredder and scanner
