The Internal Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of several critical business functions, including Inventory Management, Receiving, Procurement, Purchasing, Bookkeeping, and Customer Service. This role ensures operational excellence, efficiency, accuracy, and exceptional customer experiences while supporting the company's continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Operations

  • Lead and manage multiple departments, including Inventory, Receiving, Procurement, Purchasing, Bookkeeping, and Customer Service.
  • Develop departmental goals, KPIs, and performance metrics to drive operational success.
  • Coach, mentor, train, and develop department managers and team members.
  • Establish and maintain efficient workflows and operational procedures.
  • Identify opportunities to improve productivity, accuracy, and cost efficiency.
  • Partner with executive leadership to support strategic planning and company growth initiatives.

Inventory Management

  • Oversee inventory accuracy, organization, and control across all product categories.
  • Monitor inventory levels and implement strategies to reduce discrepancies.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of high-value trading cards and collectibles.

Receiving & Logistics

  • Manage all receiving operations, ensuring products are received accurately and efficiently.
  • Implement procedures for quality control and inventory verification.
  • Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth product flow.

Procurement & Purchasing

  • Lead sourcing, purchasing, and vendor management activities.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and agreements with suppliers and distributors.
  • Analyze market trends, product performance, and customer demand to make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Develop purchasing strategies that maximize profitability and inventory availability.


Financial Oversight

  • Supervise bookkeeping functions, including expense tracking, invoice management, reconciliations, and financial record accuracy.
  • Monitor departmental spending and identify opportunities for cost savings.

Customer Service

  • Oversee customer service operations and ensure exceptional customer experiences.
  • Develop service standards, processes, and training programs.
  • Resolve escalated customer concerns professionally and effectively.
  • Monitor customer feedback and implement improvements where needed.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Analyze operational data and key performance indicators.
  • Prepare reports and recommendations for executive leadership.
  • Use data-driven decision-making to improve efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

Required

  • 3+ years of operations, supply chain, purchasing, inventory, or business management experience.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience managing multiple teams or departments.
  • Strong knowledge of sports, sports cards, Pokémon, TCG products, or collectibles markets.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with inventory management systems and operational reporting.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, budgeting, and bookkeeping processes.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and business software platforms.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Preferred

  • Experience within the trading card, collectibles, sports memorabilia, hobby, or e-commerce industries.
  • Experience with purchasing, procurement, vendor negotiations, and product sourcing.
  • Familiarity with live-streaming, online retail, or auction environments.
  • Experience using inventory systems.
  • Passionate collector or hobby enthusiast with a deep appreciation for trading cards and collectibles.
  • Strong business acumen combined with operational expertise.
  • Comfortable making decisions using data and analytics.
