JOB SUMMARY: The Fabrication Generalist performs a wide variety of services as part of the fabrication team, depending upon production needs, based on customer inputs.  This person should be handy with tools, about to lift and manipulate various materials, and assist fellow team members a required.  

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Performs general labor for the Fabrication Department, such as painting, brushing, sanding, and materials preparations.
  • Paints a variety of surfaces utilizing paint brush, spray painting equipment, etc.
  • Completes minor repairs and touch-ups on furniture, fixtures, and other display items.
  • Assists fellow team members with handling/lifting/repositioning bulky or awkward items
  • Assists with loading and unloading of trucks.
  • Assists with cleaning work equipment and surrounding areas.
  • Must have good attention to detail.
  • Must be able to follow directions.
  • Must wear proper PPE and follow safety guidelines
  • Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School / GED
  • Prior experience working in a fabrication shop, carpentry shop, etc. preferred. 
  • Experience with painting equipment, paint preparation, and paint applications required.
  • Must be good with a variety of tools.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license

  • The employee is required to stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle, feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb or crawl. 
  • The employee may need to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. 
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. 
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal to moderate. 
  • The temperature will vary from hot to cold depending on the weather and/or inside temperature controls
