The Staff Pad is proud to partner with a respected healthcare organization in LAs Vegas, NM  to recruit a skilled and dependable Surgical Technologist to join the Surgery Department.

In this role, you'll assist surgeons and the surgical team before, during, and after surgical procedures while helping maintain a safe, efficient, and sterile operating room environment.

Schedule: PRN| Days  

What You'll Do

  • Prepare and maintain sterile operating rooms, instruments, equipment, and supplies
  • Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
  • Anticipate the needs of the surgical team throughout procedures
  • Maintain sterile technique and infection prevention standards
  • Perform instrument, sponge, and needle counts with the circulating nurse
  • Clean, restock, and prepare operating rooms between procedures
  • Ensure surgical equipment is functioning properly and report any issues
  • Handle and label surgical specimens according to established protocols

What We Are Looking For

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program
  • Current BLS certification or ability to obtain
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred

Additional Requirements

  • Knowledge of sterile technique, aseptic practices, and infection prevention
  • Ability to prepare, maintain, and troubleshoot surgical instruments and equipment
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
  • Ability to remain calm and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
