Summary Statement:

Facility Maintenance Painter will perform under general supervision, servicing, adjusting, and repair of all types, including maintaining, preparation, installs, and repairs of all interior and exterior surfaces and fixtures. Craftsman of finishes, including paint, faux paint, wallcovering, staining and clear coats. All responsibilities are to be performed in accordance with all laws and regulations, as well as Resorts World Las Vegas policies, practices, and procedures.

Primary Job Duties: – Includes but is not limited to:

  • The Facilities Maintenance Painter performs skilled technical duties involving repair, maintenance, refinishing and painting of assigned duties.
  • Drywall prep, taping & finishing (up to level 5), including application of associated primers.
  • Application of paint finishes, hand brush, rolled and machine spray applications.
  • Prep and installation of wallcoverings, vinyl and customs including patching and full drop.
  • Millwork prep, primers, stains, and topcoat finishes including touch up as assigned.
  • Knowledge of paint coatings, including sheens, additives, and quality.
  • The individual for this position under the direction and leadership of the Facilities Maintenance organization will work towards attaining maintenance goals and company objectives.
  • The role of Facilities Maintenance Painter also entails estimating, scheduling, planning, and conducting preventive and corrective paint / finish maintenance job duties under the recommendations of the Facilities organization.
  • Troubleshooting and overseeing abnormalities to aid smooth operations in a timely manner.
  • Engage in trade work in specific areas or in specialized skills involving multiple trades.
  • Multiple tasks in this sense may include repair, maintenance, alteration, installation, fabrication, construction, and creation of facility units which require utilization of skills in problem solving, teamwork, communication, giving attention to detail and abiding by safety guidelines.
  • Proven knowledge of safe operation of all tools and equipment related to painting.

Qualifications: – Includes but is not limited to:

  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, with focus on clearly communicating technical concepts.
  • Exceptional service and recovery ability working with internal and external guests.
  • Mastery of interpretation of documents involving maintenance instructions, sketches, plans blueprints, procedure manual and safety rules.
  • Ability to handle all situations professionally and excellent interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment; maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude and ability to operate effectively while working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and within the Team.
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Relevant technical training, licenses, and/or certificate.
  • Use personal device/cellular phone for job related operational tasks, job duties, review of company documents, etc.
  • Perform other job-related duties as requested.

Preferred: 

  • Bachelor's degree in general education or 3-4 years progressive experience.
  • Painter’s card.
  • Knowledge of commercial tinting machines a plus.

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • At least 21 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a similar resort setting.
  • Minimum of three years of experience as a painter or similar trade.

Certificates, Licenses, Regulations:

  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
  • OSHA 10
  • Ability to obtain the following:
    • Nevada Driver's License
